The 2017 Ford Mustang comes stocked with four available engines: 5.2-liter V8, 5.0-liter V8, 2.3-liter EcoBoost four cylinder, and 3.7-liter V6.

The 5.2-liter V8 engine unleashes 526 hp and 429 lb-ft of torque upon the road.​  Mated to either a standard six-speed manual or TREMEC six-speed manual transmission, shifting is more precise than ever. Available on high-end trims, this engine earns an EPA-estimated 14 city/21 hwy mpg.

The 5.0-liter V8 engine offers a massive 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque and is mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters. This engine offers up to an EPA-estimated 15 city/25 hwy mpg.
The 2.3-liter EcoBoost​ four-cylinder engine churns out 310 hp and 320 lb-ft of torque and is the most eco-friendly of the bunch. Earning an EPA-estimated 21 city/30 hwy mpg, this engine is available with either a six-speed manual or six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters.

The 3.7-liter V6 engine comes standard and offers 300 hp and 280 lb-ft of torque while earning an EPA-estimated 18 city/27 hwy mpg. Mated to a six-speed manual or six-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shifters, it offers an excellent balance between power and fuel economy.
