The Ford Explorer towing capacity was built to take the weight off of your shoulders. Offered in a variety of configurations and towing hardware choices, each driver is sure to find the perfect fit. This towing package comes standard with the 3.0L EcoBoost® engine and is also available with the 2.3L EcoBoost® engine and the 3.3L hybrid engine. The Ford Explorer Timberline™ model has a towing capacity of 5,300 lbs., while the Ford Explorer ST and Ford Explorer Limited trims provide a towing capacity of 5,600 lbs when properly equipped.
