Powertrains and Performance
The 2019 Ford Fusion has a standard 2.5-liter Duratec inline four-cylinder engine that generates 175 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain is paired with a six-speed SelecShift® transmission. An available 1.5-liter EcoBoost® four-cylinder engine that produces 181 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, while the 2.0-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine pumps out 240 horsepower and 270 lb-ft of torque. For better fuel economy, the 2.0-liter iVCT Atkinson-cycle engine with an electric motor is available on the Hybrid SE, Hybrid SEL, and Hybrid Titanium trims. This engine achieves 141 horsepower and a whopping 43 city mpg.* The Energi Titanium trim also comes with an electric system to reduce your carbon footprint.
Interior Design
The Fusion is great as a family sedan, as it seats up to five people and has split-folding rear seats for extra cargo volume. Available interior features include cooled driver and passenger seats as well as a heated leather steering wheel so you can remain comfortable no matter the weather. The optional power moonroof provides fresh air, while the ActiveX™ seating surfaces on the SEL trim are easy to clean and comfortable.
Safety Features
The Fusion comes with several standard safety features, like Brake Assist for added stopping power, an SOS Post-Crash Alert system, and a suite of airbags. The tire pressure monitoring system lets you know if you lose air pressure in a specific tire.
